Saturday Football
Coffee is INDISPOSED so I will be your stand in
Last night Man City extended their lead at the top to 13pts courtesy of a 4-3 win and a Ferran Torres hat-trick.

SATURDAY
Burnley v Leeds Utd (12.30)
Leeds will want to finish top half and that may get them over the line. AWAY WIN

Southampton v Fulham (15.00)
Nothing to play for bar Danny Ings making a run for Euro's selection. HOME WIN

Brighton v West Ham United (20.00)
No excuses. Must win. Hopefully the likely return of Rice will bring that against a team we owe a beating. AWAY WIN

Other game .... FA Cup final on a league fixture Saturday at 5.15pm in front of approx 20,000 fans. Leicester are the only team to have been top flight champions without winning the FA Cup. This will be their 5th final. LEICESTER WIN

SUNDAY
Crystal Palace v Aston Villa (12.00)
Only interest will be the return of Grealish to the starting line up ahead of the Euro's and questions about who will take over from Roy Hodgson next season. Lampard? AWAY WIN

Tottenham v Wolves (14.05)
Tottenham still in the Europa mix .... hopefully Wolves can finish that. AWAY WIN

WBA v Liverpool (16.30)
A favour from Fat Sam? No. AWAY WIN

Everton v Sheffield Utd (19.00)
Even Everton's dismal home record can't spurn this gift. HOME WIN

Re: Saturday Football
I expect us to play as we have in our last few games and to win as we did against Burnley.

I am not sure if I can be bothered to watch the FA cup, which is really sad as there was a time I would never consider not watching the FA cup. There was a time when they would not put other games on, on FA cup day...

Really hope Liverpool are tired after Thursdays big match and West Brom play with freedom and style to show that are not a bad outfit and that they can beat the ex-Champions.

This thread as a route one fat Sam feel about it. Hurry back Pep Coffee.

And I'm pretty sure smith has stated Grealish won't be starting.

All that said, today is just about finding a way to take 3pts from our bogey team.

Re: Saturday Football
I dont THINK West Ham, West Brom or Leicester are going to win even if I wished they would. I’m not a betting man but Icertainly wouldn't put money on them to win.

Smiles politely at polite. 🤗

Re: Saturday Football
That said I had been more confident about West Ham since November this season than any time I can genuinely remember. That has faded in the last couple of games. Would be great to get back to winning ways though if they can recapture the spirit.

Thanks, Sven.

Agree with all your sensible predictions, which means that none of them will come to pass.

Re: Saturday Football
Burnley making Leeds look like Barcelona. Leeds playing their part as well - anyone still doubt Biesla?

I think Dyche might move on after this season.

Re: Saturday Football
Bielsa should be manager of the season, unbelievable what he gets out of them players and the football is mustard. When they get it right they can smash sides.

Re: Saturday Football
People bang on about how bad the ESL would have been. But how much different is the Premier League.? Because all you need to survive in Premiership is to make sure you don't (A) Have a bad injury list. And (B) Piss Poor owners.

Because watching Burnley get taken apart at home by Leeds.(Yes. I know it's a dead rubber match.) They ain't never going to add anything useful to the game of football. Because if I was a lifelong Burnley. There is nothing I could feel proud about the club.Anyway. Rant over. Fair play to Leeds.

Manuel 4:22 Sat May 15
Re: Saturday Football
Leeds really are a good side. It's refreshing that all the hype about Bielsa turned out to be well founded.

RB - Yea, I've said on here before to get relegated from this league you really do need to be utterly abysmal.

Teams I would hate to support -

Burnley
Everton

Dreadful, boring, soulless football.

At least we are entertaining sometimes.

And another thing. (Doing he's best Columbo impersonation)

All them Hipster's out there. In their Skinny Jeans. Drinking their Skinny Latte's.Stroking their well groomed chins. All banging on about how."Bielsa teams always run out of gas. Blah.Blah.Blah." There's a reason Pep .Poch. And Simeone all worship the guy.

HE KNOWS HIS ONIONS.!

Re: Saturday Football
Biesla has made the least changes to his starting XI of any PL manager.
That suggests his methods are not overly stressing the players.

However they’ll only play 40 games this season which helps too.

RBshorty 4:48 Sat May 15
Re: Saturday Football
Well. That's given Arteta he's excuse for the season. (And hopefully. Many more to come.)
